Christmas in the Canyon - 2006

The Nueces Canyon Chamber of Commerce reports a successful Merry Christmas in the Canyon.  Even the early rain didn’t dampen the shoppers visiting the downtown merchants open houses, registering for door prices and partaking of yummy goodies.

Santa arrived in the park on the fire truck with 74 bags of goodies which were given out with the best of Christmas wishes.  This event was sponsored by the Nueces Canyon Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

The First Baptist Church carolers sang songs filling the frosty air with cheer directed by   Velinda Sifuentes.

Many showed up earlier in the day for the Relay for Life Winter Carnival.  The evening ended with Song, hot chocolate and wassail.

The Chamber thanks everyone that helped make this possible.
